Yes, I think you are doing the right thing with that, you may not need it..or you may..if it doesn´t distract you from what you need..and have time, you should look in to it though, but I will make a vid on it soon I think.
Good though that the OD tools now work perfectly it seems with any kind of line pen drawn figure, or if I copy and paste edges, or just using a genoma rig and send over to blender, and add skin modifier,(previously that ended up as connected segments, but not anymore)
I think this means I should be able to just OD copy any hair curve as well, as long as I convert the curves with strandmaker first, then I would need hairnet for 2.83 working as well..but that I haven´t checked yet.

i will probably stick to MetaMesh in LightWave that provides the same result, but a very good option. Blender is coming along. :)
