That's too bad you can't post images as we're used to, but understandable. Otherwise your server could be taking on Gb's of stuff daily.
So, I guess I can only describe a few significant discoveries I've had recently then, and they were somewhat related.
The least of which is the Parenter plug-in. It got added with 2015 but I've never had a need. Works as advertised & is easy to use.
The next thing is switching to LW Joints when extracting a character from an FBX.
The same file extracts to 172 LW Bones, yet extracts to 264 LW Joints. I could't see any advantage to going that route, and the poses exported weren't being compatible. But in exploring that option, I discovered a couple of things.
Part of the problem was I simply didn't/couldn't take that next needed step. I've been working around (i.e. cheating), trying to not use if possibe, but ran into a pose I wanted to do & was not possible with LW Z Bones.
Rebel Hill released the Animation Toolbox for free to the public, but I'm not sure about the Rigging Toolbox, nor sure if there's anything that will do the equivelant.
With the Rigging Toolbox, it's very easy to select the Joints from Hand to Collar, Click Orient with the option to Zero Bank selected, and your done. Optionally a 2nd click to set Rest Lengths if needed. Repeat for the opposite side. Do the legs if desired. Probably a 30 sec. process for the entire figure.
The MAJOR thing that I never knew about, & no one ever mentioned (definitely mummbled if it was), is that you GAIN the two Twist bones intended function for each limb! Always thought those were Daz items added during the export process. Now FK posing is easy & exact. IK? Probably. Time to dust off those IKBooster notes.
But the other OTHER major thing is with the simple little unsung plug called Anchor.
It's pretty well documented in the LW docs, but nada that I was able to find online.
What it does is allows you to parent a new null to an obect, a Button say. Apply Anchor to the Null. Anchor's GUI has you select another object and a UV. Now you can drag your null anywhere on the surface of the 2nd object. A little reparenting and now your Button can be accurately positioned & follows the obects contours. The Button can indepenantly still be fine tuned.
Clone this Button Heirarchy and quickly Button out your garment.
But WAIT. There's more!
These newly position items not only deform to bones, they RESPOND TO THE OBJECTS MORPHS! And, their scaling can be independant of the base object, so your buttons don't change size as your characters shirt expands.
A big flag on the play with Anchor. Works great, easy, accurate,... But it's cache that data but where??? It gets so large the scene can't be saved. So you're doing a tightwire act until then. Also, there's another big drawback in simply working with it. The scene has to get evaluated for each frame. If you want to render Frame 25 but your scene is set for 120 frames, it evals 120 frames before finally rendering Frm 25. OD's EasyBake tool can be used to Bake out Anchor's settings, but no way to save something like a preset. Fine for one or two items, but impratcticle for buttons and the like which is specifically what I wanted to use it for.
But I do seem to have a technique now for using Poses export out of DAZ. As with most, KISS. Did a lot of testing using the Rigging Toolbox to Align but seems that's not needed.
Forunately, the FBX Poses exported don't have to be remade. When opening with Layout, you get to chose Z-Bones or Joints, so I save the new resulting LWS with a (J) designation.
When using the Animation Toolbox, you select the Donor rig root as usual with the Bones tab ON, click Copy. Now, go to the frame you want to paste to, select the Recipient Hip, turn Bones tab OFF and enable the Sel and Child tabs, then Paste.
This seems to work quite well usually, but one foot or hand may not be correct, but then simply do a selective copy & paste for those bones fixes. Overall, process is quite quick. I often do this anyway for specific Hand poses, so not adding any real work.
I also need to fix the main login menu, I believe users now are presented with the sign in as a starting point, it shouldn´t be like that, I did change that I thought in the setup, but it seems it didn´s save properly to change, will have to look at that later again so you just have to click login.
I never use fbx bones, but lw joints when importing from daz, I don´t think I have had any issues with that, just removing the two bones that aren´t necessary, then Ik booster works nicely.
As for Rebel Hills animation tools, don´t know..since I do not use it
That said, I think I will be leaving any daz to lightwave pipeline mostly to rest for some year or two until lightwave is updated in rendering of skin, and hair and much more.
Denis P may have a bridge for lightwave as well finished by that time.
But until then I will most likely just use the daz 2 blender bridge, it gives me all textures spot on applied without any need to resurface, poses can be loaded from with blender and it loads them very fast.
I think I would have liked to have that Ik booster tool though, in blender, but that is secondary to all the other benefits in blender.
as for images, yeah..this free account would be full after only a few image posts on it locally, but there are options to use other external sources, and if you use the 9th icon here in this message system, those two arrows and a slash inbetween( it is the Iframe html code), and then copy embedd code from flickr, or other sources that can provide you with such embed code, then click on edit html it in to the html code and select html code, do not use the webadress option, but the html code and paste the code in to that field, save and you are done.
You should however make sure to select a size around 640x381 in the flickr resolution for the selected embedd size for best framing of the image when embedded in to the IframeHtml editor, you can then set sizing of the actuall iframe to a little above that.
The below image is embedded that way.
So I would suggest, get an flickr account and you should be fine to upload private albums or public ones.
Or if you have access to another photo storage service that can provide embedded codes.
