Ok, I know almost zero about rigging. I bought a model of a Swan that's already rigged in Max, and imported it as a FBX. It works fine, the thing is I need three swans in the shot I'm going to use them for. I need some randomness to the way they flap their wings and move their body, so they don't all look the same. I tried the scene editor, graph editor etc, but I'm lost as to what to do with the rigs.
I've attached the file. I'd appreciate any help here. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/k56smxfyac5qgqprya5xy/Swan-model.rar?rlkey=p2dzfylubv4nqztkwqmladxfd&dl=0
Hi Planeguy, Not sure why this post was put on "wait to publish" I had to approve it first. Anyway, I dowloaded it, but I do not have much time today to look at it, and rigging isn´t my speciality either.
And it´s fairly complex with lots of bones there to find what to adjust. It may be possible to adjust the keyframing in scene edtior, bone editor, but I have to check much later, or if anyone else replies.
You could however just mdd bake the file, which allows you to remove all bones, and clone the object, reload with different mdd speed for some of the other two swans. This video by William Vaughan shows a little bit of using an animated none bone mesh with mdd and some random motion, but there should be a better quality video somewhere ...this is too crappy resolution...
